Welcome to the 2017 Niceville/Valparaiso Little League Safety Section.  Little League, Williamsport, Pennsylvania, guides and approves our yearly safety program.  Our overall objective is to heighten safety awareness and prevent injuries.  We will train our managers, and/or coaches, in proper accident prevention and treatment.  Players and parents will also be actively involved in the league safety training and prevention program.  With proper training and awareness, the league hopes to prevent injuries from occurring.  With all of us working together, our players will be safer.  Thank you in advance for your cooperation.

The League shall monitor bad weather using a lightning detector. When lightning is detected within 8 miles everyone will clear the fields and seek shelter in a car or building. At Twin Oaks, the Park Ranger shall sound three blasts on the air horn to quickly clear the field. Dugouts will not be used as shelter from lightning. When lightning has not been detected within 8 miles for 20 minutes, the Park Ranger shall give the all clear signal (one long blast on the air horn).
Instructions for operating Lightning Detectors will be posted inside each concession stand.
